...and why you shouldn't!

 That’s more common than you’d think.
Many clients don’t realize their closet holds resale-worthy pieces — a dress from a one-time event, shoes that didn’t quite work out, a quality bag they haven’t reached for in ages. Even just a few gently used, well-made items can be worth listing. I’m happy to take a look — no pressure, just a thoughtful, boutique-style approach to clearing space and earning a little back. 


 I hear that a lot — and it’s true.
Listing, photographing, packing, shipping… it adds up. That’s why I take care of every step for you.

Acceptance is always based on real-time market value, item presentation, and our professional discretion. If you are unsure - text or email

Even one approved item can be dropped off at my business mailbox during business hours—no minimum required.  However each item should be expected to sell for at least $20 after platform fees (That usually means a list price of $25–$30+)

This is a great option if:
✓ You don’t meet the pickup or mail-in minimums
✓ You want your items processed faster
✓ You’re already out and about and want to drop it off

Resale Commission Policies

 These guidelines ensure your items are worth your time — and mine — while keeping the resale process smooth, fair, and aligned with Your Closet Curated TX’s mission. 

 

Commission Tiers

Choose the commission that works best for your needs. I only earn when your items sell.

  • 25% Commission – You drop off, schedule pickup, or ship your pre-approved items at your own cost.
     
  • 30% Commission – You ship your pre-approved items at your cost; I cover outbound shipping to buyers.
     
  • 35% Commission – I send you a prepaid mailer (5–10 pre-approved items). Outbound shipping included.
     

Accepted Items Must Be:

  • Pre-approved via photo submission
     
  • Gently worn or new
     
  • Mid to high-level brands, Classic or Vintage (no fast fashion )
     
  • In clean, sellable condition (no odors, pilling, damage, or outdated trends)



 

Minimum Item Requirements

To make the time and effort worthwhile, I require the following minimums based on your service option:


Individual Item Minimum:

  • Each item must be expected to resell for at least $20 after platform fees.
    This typically means a resale price of $25–$30 or higher.
     

Pickup (Local Clients Only):

  • Minimum of $125 total projected resale value (based on approved items)
     
  • Minimum of 10 approved items
     
  • Pickups available within a 30-mile radius of San Antonio (ZIP 78216)
     

Prepaid Mailer:

  • Minimum of 5 approved items, maximum of 10 per shipment
     
  • Must meet the $20 minimum resale value per item
     

Drop-Off:

  • No quantity minimum, but all items must be approved and meet the $20 resale threshold.


 

What happens with out-of-season items?


I don’t follow strict consignment rules about seasons — if your item has strong resale potential, I’m happy to help you sell it, even if it’s not currently in season.**
 

For select pieces typically expected to resell for $60+ when in season, I offer a “Hold & Launch” service — I’ll store your item safely and list it when seasonal demand is highest.

Instead of a storage fee, I simply apply a +5% commission increase to cover the extra time and care involved. That means:

  • If you're on a 25% tier, it becomes 30%
     
  • If you're on a 30% tier, it becomes 35%, and so on
     

**This ensures your item hits the market when buyers are actually looking — giving it the strongest chance to sell at full value.

Items that don’t sell after their peak season will follow the standard return or donation options.
